Carolina is a writer and editor. The Miami native attended the University of Chicago, where she had to learn about things like scarves and winter coats (and Plato, Rousseau, and Nietzsche). She also spent a fair amount of time in a basement office writing for and later editing the student newspaper. After graduating in 2004, she moved to Weehawken, New Jersey, and put her political science degree to good use by becoming the food writer at a newspaper. She later worked as an editor and blogger for a menu directory Web site. In the evenings, she edited copy for a baseball Web site.

After returning to New York from a six-month around-the-world honeymoon with her husband, she took a job as a reporter at Law360, covering litigation and other issues for business attorneys. In 2013, she and her husband moved to Miami Beach, where they started a remote bureau for Law360 covering Florida state and federal litigation, the legal industry and the state Legislature.

In her spare time, Carolina enjoys running relay races with friends, swimming races in polluted bodies of water, and building sandcastles on the beach with her toddler.
